Roger Parry is Chairman of several media/technology companies including: Oxford Metrics (software); YouGov (data analytics) and MSQ Partners (marketing communications).  He is one of the founders of Chrysalis Vision (TV drama) and is a non-executive director of Uber GB. (transport)

He was Chairman of Shakespeare’s Globe Trust ;  Future plc

(magazine publisher) ; Johnston Press plc (newspapers) and Mobile Streams plc (mobile content).

​

He was CEO of the international division of Clear Channel Communications Inc. from 1998 to 2006 and before that CEO of More Group plc. 


He has been a director of a number of media and advertising companies including: Aegis, Internet Indirect,  iTouch, Jazz fm, London Radio and WCRS. He was a founder director then Deputy Chairman of Clear Media in China. He began his career working for Saatchi & Saatchi, then was a journalist for the BBC, LBC and ITV and after that a consultant with McKinsey and Company.

He was educated at the universities of Oxford (Jesus College) M Litt. and Bristol BSc.  He is the author of six books and is a Visiting Fellow of Oxford University.

 

In 2014 he was awarded a CBE for services to media. 

 

He is married with one son and lives in London and Hampshire.
